PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a printer connected with a network requires a server function and many memories in order to process pieces of data transmitted in a random order by every transmitting origin.

SOLUTION: A relaying apparatus 101 or the printer 102 selectively receives only data from a host 103 at a transmitting origin of data which is under relaying to the printer 102 or under printing at present among the pieces of data transmitted from the host 103 in the random order and receives the data from all the hosts 103 when the relaying or the printing is completed.
