IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which improves the charging and transfer properties of toner materials for an image forming system using nonmagnetic single component developer and an intermediate transfer member, prevents image defects such as diffused letters and transfer omission, and can form a color image having good image density and sharpness, and to provide an image forming method.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a primary transfer means to sequentially superpose and transfer toner images from electrophotographic photoreceptors onto an intermediate transfer member to form a color toner image on the intermediate transfer member; and a secondary transfer means to transfer the color toner image on the intermediate transfer member onto a recording material. The turbidity of each color toner used in the developing means of a plurality of image forming units is <60 and the turbidity difference between color toner materials is 5 to 45 at the maximum.
