<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the connection between the electronic apparatuses for making optical communication and to realize stable optical communication by effectively using the optical power. <P>SOLUTION: An optical signal transmission system is provided with: a plurality of electronic apparatuses 1 wherein one electronic apparatus 1 uses an optical transmission reception element 11 for trasnceiving an optical signal to make communication with the other electronic apparatuses 1; a side face light emitting optical waveguide 3 wherein a light diffusion member 21 is located at each part of the waveguide 3 opposed to each optical transmission reception element 11 of each electronic apparatus 1, the light diffusion member 21 diffuses incident light from the side face of the waveguide 3 coming from the electronic apparatus 21 and the other light diffusion member 21 emits the light to the other electronic apparatus 1 from the side face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
