<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a sub chassis with respect to the main chassis with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic recording and reproducing device is provided with the main chassis, the sub chassis that is relatively movable relative to the main chassis, and a first guide part for guiding the sub chassis when it relatively moves with respect to the main chassis. A first guide part is provided with a first guide groove part provided in the direction in which the sub chassis is relatively movable with respect to the main chassis, and a first projecting part which engages with the first guide groove part. The first guide groove part has two end parts in the direction in which the first projecting part is movable. The first projecting part can be brought into contact with the first guide groove at two points at least in one of two end parts. In at least one of the two end parts, the movement of the first projecting part is stopped by the contact of the two points, and the distance between one point and the other of the two points is formed shorter than the width of the guide groove part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
