<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operating rate of laser beam machining by lengthening a life of an electro-optic element used in the laser beam machining. <P>SOLUTION: In a laser processing system 20 to carry out machining by making the laser beam irradiate an object to be machined via the electro-optic element 22 to control a polarization plane of the laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator 21 with a control signal and a polarization beam splitter 23 to make a laser optical path branch out corresponding to a polarization state of the laser beam, the device is provided with an alternate current voltage applying part 29 to apply a pulse shape of the alternate current voltage to the electro-optic element based on a specified period and a control part 30 to control application of the alternate current voltage at the alternate current voltage applying part and irradiation of the laser beam at the laser oscillator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
