PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus having a means to amplify image information of a subject, wherein a white blemish noise can be stably removed not based on an amplification factor of the amplifying means. SOLUTION: A spacial filter treatment circuit 35 performs filter operation of a digital image signal using all of or a part of pixel value included in a region 64 in which a target pixel 63 to be treated is the center. A subtraction circuit 37 operates the difference of output signals from the spacial filter treatment circuit 35 and a retardation circuit 36. An address generation circuit 38 inputs CMD controlling voltage of a present frame and outputs a different address value corresponding to the controlling voltage. A threshold storage memory 39 outputs the threshold value corresponding to an address input from the address generation circuit 38. The appropriate threshold value is selected by the address generation circuit 38 and the threshold storage memory 39 even when the amplification factor fluctuates. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
