PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus having high safety accurately detecting the occurrence of flames in an exhaust part resulting from the drop of unburnt fuel in a well responsive manner. SOLUTION: The combustion apparatus comprises a temperature monitoring means provided on the outer face of the exhaust part for monitoring a temperature in the exhaust part and an inner face member cut out corresponding to the inner face of a portion of the temperature monitoring means. Cutout portions 96, 97 are provided in a side wall 93b of a collective cylindrical heat insulating material 93 of a collective exhaust part 7 and in a side wall 94b of a heat insulating material mounting plate 94, respectively. An exhaust limiting safety device 11 is provided on the outer wall face of the collective exhaust part 7 corresponding to the cutout portions 96, 97 for monitoring temperature troubles in the collective exhaust part 7.
