<p>An image processor comprising 4-channel output CCDs, wherein the difference between the characteristics of left and right CCDs is detected and corrected to reproduce even image density with no density irregularity between left and right sides of the image. A gradation pattern image is read in a gradation pattern read mode using a scanner, the difference between the left and right CCDs for each gradation of the image is detected, correction values are determined in accordance with the differences and set in a left/right correction circuit (160), and thus image density correction for each gradation is performed.</p> |
