<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus operation control method and a system capable of controlling the operation of a vehicle on-board apparatus by means of the opening and shutting of driver's eyes. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus control device 2 is connected with a camera device 3 through a first wire harness 10b and connected with the on-board apparatuses 5-8 as objects to be controlled through a network cable 1a. Images concerning the opened/shut condition of the driver's eyes photographed by the camera device 3 are fed to the control device 2, which senses the opened and shut condition of the eyes from the fed images and specifies the apparatus operation corresponding to the sensed contents on the basis of a table stored internally. The control device 2 prepares control data according to the specified contents and transmits them to the on-board apparatus to be controlled, and the operation of the apparatus having received the control data is controlled on the basis of the control data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
