PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a high definition flat display panel by making it easy to form an auxiliary electrode and an insulating layer. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the flat display panel includes processes of: forming a transparent electrode and an auxiliary electrode by patterning by making a transparent electrode layer and an auxiliary electrode layer laminated in order on a transparent substrate conform to the pattern of the transparent electrode; laminating a negative type resist layer over the top of the patterned auxiliary electrode; exposing the laminated negative type resist layer from the side of the transparent substrate; developing the exposed negative type resist layer after sensitizing it; applying etching to the auxiliary electrode layer after development; and removing the negative type resist layer after etching.
