PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of and facilitate the closing operation of a pressure resistant closing device adopted for the pressure leakage test of equipment such as pipes. SOLUTION: This pressure resistant closing device comprises a hollow closing cap 1 closed at one end and opened at the other end, a tapered screw 9 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the closing cap 1 at a position near the other end, a fixing nut 2 threaded to the tapered screw 9, and an O-ring 3 installed along the inner peripheral surface of the closing cap 1. When, for example, the end part of a pipe 4 as an object for the pressure leakage test is inserted into the closing cap 1 and the fixing nut 2 is moved forward to the other end side of the closing cap 1, the inner peripheral surface of the closing cap 1 on the other end side is fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 4, and such an event that the closing cap 1 is extracted from the pipe 4 by a test pressure in the pipe 4 can be securely prevented by simple structure.
