PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a vehicle whereby brake squeal preventing control can be performed by a simple system structure. SOLUTION: A left front wheel FL is provided with an independent control caliper 16FL capable of independently applying hydraulic pressure to two pairs of pistons. First hydraulic pressure is applied to the front side piston 161FL, and second hydraulic pressure is applied to the rear side piston 162FL and the rear wheel piston 163RL of a left rear wheel RL. Right side front and rear wheels have the same structures of those of the left side. When a brake squeal occurs on the left front wheel, total braking forces of the left front and rear wheels are invariable, the first hydraulic pressure is increased, and the second hydraulic pressure is reduced so as to vary a distribution ratio of the braking force generated by the front side and the rear side pistons.
