PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer in which deformation of the shape of equipment parts due to the heat generated by light irradiation from a light irradiation device is prevented; increase of the viscosity and curing of an ink are prevented; and an ink is discharged at a stable speed to obtain a good image, by a simple device configuration. SOLUTION: A heat insulation member 9 for interrupting the heat generated by light irradiation from light irradiation devices 8, 13, 16 or 21 is provided between the light irradiation devices 8, 13, 16 or 21 and a recording head 6 or 12.
