PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile stopper for a laundry pole that can be attached to and detached from a holder for the laundry pole on the market. SOLUTION: The stopper for laundry pole can be attached to the holder D having an arm lever 21 provided with a thick periphery 23 in the circumference and a rod receiving portion 22 inwardly thereof. The rod stopper has a presser 5, a mounting body 1 and a pressing screw 4. The presser has a bar pressing portion 18 and is fixed to the mounting body. The mounting body is made of a pair of half bodies 2 and 3. The half bodies connect upper bearing portions 8 and 9 and lower base portions 6 and 7 nearly parallelly by connecting portions 10 and 11, respectively, and tapped holes 12 and 13 are provided in the base portions. The two half bodies are arranged in a manner that faces the bearing portions to each other by superposing the base portions to ensure that the tapped holes coincide with each other. The mounting body fixes the presser in the position where a pole pressing portion contacts the laundry pole by making the bearing portions directly or indirectly abut against the top face of the periphery in the lower side of the arm lever and tightening the pressing screws 4 by threadedly engaging with the screw holes from below.
