The seat (10) in a road vehicle has an adjustable backrest, headrest and armrest. Hinges at rear edge of seat, bottom edge of headrest and at rear end of armrest. There is a first pivot (20) under the center of the seat cushion (12). There is a second pivot (22) for the backrest (14) at the rear edge of the seat cushion. The armrest (18) has a pivot (26) midway up the side edge of the backrest. The headrest (16) is mounted on the top edge of the backrest, with a pivot (24) at its lower edge.
