<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device capable of achieving a connecting property and operability favorable for a notebook computer. <P>SOLUTION: The notebook computer 1 is provided with a connecting hole 5 widening toward the depth on a lateral surface 3. The antitheft device is provided with a cable 21 having a loop 29 at a base end thereof; a connector 23 which can be connected to the connection hole 5 by sliding a knob part 45 after inserting an extendable pin 35 in the connection hole 5 provided on the notebook computer 1, at the same time, can be disconnected from the connection hole 5 by sliding the knob part 45 in a direction opposite to the insertion direction, and has a through hole 37a which is exposed during the connection and goes inside a cover 47 when the connection is released; and a lock unit 25 which can be locked/unlocked at a leading end 31 of the cable 21 threaded through a part 37 for threading a cable of the connector 23, and prevents the coming-off of the cable 21 from the through hole 37a by locking at the leading end 31 of the cable 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
