<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting system for which the secular change of its heat radiating performance can be monitored, and it can be specified that the fall of the lighting performance of the system is caused by the deterioration in the heat radiating performance. <P>SOLUTION: In this LED lighting system in which a heat sink 2 is attached to an LED chip 1 mounted on a substrate 9, a CPU 6 measures the temperatures of the substrate 9 and heat sink 2 by means of a temperature sensor 7 for the substrate 9 and another temperature sensor 8 for the heat sink 2, and calculates the thermal resistance Rsc between the substrate 9 and heat sink 2 from the temperatures of the substrate 9 and heat sink 2 and the power consumption of an LED. When the thermal resistance Rsc exceeds a normal range, the CPU 6 causes a display 10 to display a warning for the fall of the heat radiating performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
