<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system wherein an end terminal receiving a service can process the QoS. <P>SOLUTION: The end terminal 21 processes functions related to the QoS and the system executes a QoS management scheme on a terminal basis to attain the QoS among end points. Since the terminals manage the QoS, it is required for the terminal to grasp network conditions and states of other entities and to recognize what operation is to be implemented. For example, the terminal monitors packets and collects utilization information and reports collected data to a central server (SLA manager 28). The central server collects information items from all terminals in its management domain. Further, the central server references information such as a service level set to each terminal to decide an operation to be implemented by each terminal and allows each terminal to carry out the decided operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
