PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical imaging apparatus which achieves a microscopic image of the inside of a subject. SOLUTION: A main body 4 including a light source 20 or the like is provided with a long slender optical probe 3 through a detachable connector 8. Light from the light source is incident on each optical fiber of a fiber optic bundle 7 through scanning mirrors 24a, 24b. The light is converged on the side of the subject 2 from the end surface of the optical probe 3 through a light-converging optical system. Return light thereof is guided to the side of a light detection means in the main body 4 through the fiber optic bundle 7. A tip of the optical probe 3 is formed by a hard tip portion 10, and is shaped like a needle to achieve a microscopic image of the inside by making a puncture in the subject 2.
