PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slider control from being performed so that the position of an objective lens is not deviated from the vicinity of the center of optical visual field due to the variation of the attitude of a device. SOLUTION: This device is an optical disk device having a head means provided with an actuator holding an objective lens movably in the direction of at least focus and a slide means shifting this head means in the direction of tracking. The slide means is driven so that the objective lens is positioned near the center of an optical visual field in the head means based on at least a detection signal indicating static acceleration operating to the objective lens in the head means displacing in accordance with attitude variation of the optical disk device and a low frequency band component of a tracking servo signal for making the objective lens track. By this constitution, slider control can be performed on the basis of a tracking servo signal low frequency band component corrected in accordance with a gravity level operating to the objective lens as reference, the slider control in which deviation between the objective lens due to attitude variation of the device and the vicinity of the center of optical visual field is prevented can be performed.
