摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaking ignition device for an internal combustion engine realizing a product with less fluctuation in ignition performance without finely adjusting a circuit constant. SOLUTION: A resister R1 detecting a short circuit current of an ignition power supply coil 2 is provided and a voltage between both ends of the resister R1 is applied to a voltage detecting circuit 7 through a transistor TR4 being conductive until an output voltage V1 of the half waves of the ignition power supply coil reaches a peak. When the output voltage of the voltage detecting circuit 7 reaches a prescribed value, a switch 9 is made conductive to have the transistor TR1 in a shut off state and perform ignition operation. In a low engine speed, the ignition operation is performed when the output voltage of the ignition power supply coil reaches the peak and the transistor TR4 comes in the shut off state. In a high engine speed, the ignition operation is performed when the voltage between the both ends of the resister reaches the prescribed value during the transistor TR4 is conductive.
