PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a landing door device for an elevator allowing easy installation of a blocking means for reducing a clearance between a doorway lower fringe part and a sliding door lower end. SOLUTION: When a sliding door 4 operates, a pressing mechanism 8 does not operate to form a clearance between a side wall of a guide channel 3 of a threshold 2 and a blocking plate 7. When the sliding door 4 is fully closed, the pressing mechanism 8 operates to press the blocking plate 7 against the side wall of the guide channel 3 of the threshold 2. Consequently, a clearance between a lower end face of the sliding door 4 and the lower fringe part of the doorway 1 is reduced, and air circulation in a lower end part of the sliding door 4 is suppressed when the sliding door 4 is fully closed. Since the blocking plate 7 and the pressing mechanism 8 are arranged at a position corresponding to the guide channel 3 of the threshold 2, an installation space for the blocking plate 7 is not required in an outer side section of a sliding door 4 face, and the blocking plate 7 can be easily installed in a narrow place to improve space eficiency on a horizontal projection face of a shaft.
