PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting apparatus constituted so that the dust caught in a slot of a screen arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a dust collecting drum can be removed easily even when the screen is formed by winding a wedge wire spirally. SOLUTION: This dust collecting apparatus is constituted so that dust-containing water is introduced from an introducing pipe 2a, the dust in the water is removed and the dust-removed water is discharged from a discharge port 3. This apparatus is provided with the rotatable dust collecting drum 10 having the screen 14 on the outer peripheral surface and a scraper 30 for removing the dust in the water caught on the screen 14.
