PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which materializes cost and weight reductions. SOLUTION: An actuator 1 is equipped with a piston 3 and a cylinder 2, either of which is provided with core 33. The other is provided with a coil 32 outputting in accordance with a position of the core 33. While the core 33 is provided to the piston 3, the coil 32 is provided to the cylinder 2. The core 33 is also mounted in the piston 3 brought closer to an inside peripheral surface of the cylinder 2. In some cases, the core 33 is provided to a part sandwiched by a piston ring.
