Ventilator spring comprises a propeller spring (13) with both ends formed as hooks (14) which interact in corresponding receivers on the free end of a piston rod (6) protruding from a cylinder and on the end of the cylinder at the opposing end of the piston rod. Preferred Features: The propeller spring encloses the cylinder and the piston rod with its windings. The openings of the hooks face each other. A connecting piece (10) is also provided and has an opening extending across the longitudinal extension of a piston-cylinder unit (1). The hooks fit into the opening.
