<p>The invention relates to a method and system (1') for the transmission of real-time acquired data representing the spatial position of a video camera (10'), i.e. co-ordinates and tilt, in relation to a universal set, when the camera (10') moves along a trajectory. Once processed, the acquired data can be used to determine the position and tilt of the planes of the images taken. The inventive system (1') consists of two main sub-assemblies, namely: one module comprising an inertial unit (11') which is secured to the camera (10'); and a data-processing device comprising a stored program (2), which communicates with the aforementioned inertial unit (11') by means of a wire or wireless link (112'). The invention can be used to match images taken with synthesis images and to navigate in a virtual world.</p> |
