METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING CARBON PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce a pure and high quality carbon particles suitable as a base material of a carbon electrode plate.

SOLUTION: The method of producing the carbon particles comprises steps of: sending an organic hydrocarbon compound in a melting state or a solid state as it is into a heating furnace with an inert gas; heating them to a high temperature under an inert gas atmosphere to thermally crack the compound; taking hydrogen in the hydrocarbon compound and gasified impurities contained therein into the inert gas; and leaving carbon having a high melting point as tangible particles and taking out the tangible particles.
