<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of emission, when regenerating the exhaust cleaning ability of an exhaust cleaning means which performs exhaust cleaning, in an exhaust cleaning system for an internal combustion engine which generates power by its own output. <P>SOLUTION: In the internal combustion engine which is equipped with a power generation means, which generates power by the output of the internal combustion engine and an electricity accumulating means which accumulates electricity generated by the generation means, power is generated (S102 and S103) by the generation means, when the quantity of accumulated electricity in the electricity accumulation means is not larger than the first residual quantity, when the exhaust cleaning ability of the exhaust cleaning means which cleans the exhaust discharged from the internal combustion engine is not generated, and the power is generated (S104 and S106) by the generation means, when the quantity of the accumulated electricity in the electricity accumulation means is not larger than the second the residual quantity which is smaller than the first residual quantity, when the exhaust cleaning ability of the exhaust cleaning means is regenerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
