<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and effectively warm up a secondary battery while reducing influence to a travel distance to the utmost, when warm-up operation is needed due to the low temperature of the secondary battery that feeds power to a drive motor for an electric automobile. <P>SOLUTION: The front-shaft drive motor 5 is coupled to drive front wheels 7, 9 of a vehicle, and a rear-shaft drive motor 6 is coupled to drive rear wheels 8, 10. In a warm-up operation mode, a vehicle controller 13 gives a powering command to a motor controller 3, and gives a regeneration command to a motor controller 4. The motor controller 3 makes the front wheel drive motor 5 perform powering by using power obtained by discharging the secondary battery 1. The motor controller 4 charges the secondary battery 2 by using power regenerated by the rear wheel drive motor 6.
