<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation type power unit for connecting network equipment and communication terminal, capable of improving the degree of freedom of installation of the network equipment and eliminating the need of the use of a power extension cord and a power source construction for supplying power to the network equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The separation type power unit comprises: a power source adapter part 1 provided with a connector 3 for communication terminal connection for connecting the communication terminal 14 such as a personal computer, a rectifier 2 for converting the AC of a commercial AC power source or the like to a DC and a connector 4 for both communication and power supply; a remote power source part 5 provided with a connector 7 for both communication and power reception, a converter 6 for converting the voltage of the DC to the voltage to operate the network equipment 13, a connector 8 for the power supply and a connector 9 for network equipment connection for connecting the network equipment 13 such as a medium converter; and a cable part 10 composed of a metal cable for both communication and power supply connecting the power source adapter part 1 and the remote power source part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
