PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side-release type or side-push type buckle capable of avoiding the damage of expansion of a lock arm and sufficiently lightening the manual operation for disengaging the connection. SOLUTION: The buckle has a socket and a plug 20 whose tip side can be inserted into the socket and which can be released by manually pressing both sides of the socket. The plug comprises a base 21 formed on the base end side, a pair of lock arms 22 extending from the base to the tip side, an engagement part 24 formed in the intermediate part of each lock arm to be engaged with the inner side of the socket, and a pressure part 25 disposed in the intermediate part of the lock arm to be pressed when manually operated.
