PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector with a low-profile switch which makes a contact failure hardly occur, is hardly affected by dust and the like, and can perform good inspection. SOLUTION: The connector has a housing 2 dividing a terminal housing chamber 6 to be opened outward via a hole for inserting a plug pin 12. A fixed terminal 3 includes a fixed contact portion 51 disposed roughly along an insertion direction X of a plug pin. A switch terminal 4 includes a U shape portion 35 to be opened toward the hole 12. The U shape portion 35 includes a first and a second piece portions 37, 38 extending along the direction X. The second contact portion 28 is provided with an elastic contact portion elastically contactable with a fixed contact portion 28 from a side and a plug pin contact portion 42 elastically contactable with a side portion of the plug pin inserted from the hole 12.
