PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the initial positioning accuracy of a photo-diode also after joining by balancing the force generated by curing and shrinking an adhesive layer at a plurality of joining places, when a plate provided with a photo-diode and an optical mount are joined with an adhesive layer in an optical pickup. SOLUTION: A plate 2 provided with the photo-diode 22 is joined to an optical mount 1 through an adhesive layer 3 in a state by leaving a minute gapαbetween the optical mount 1 and the plate. Circular through holes 27 are provided at a plurality of places of the plate 2. The adhesive layer 3 is formed by swelling out the adhesive injected into the through hole part 27 of the plurality of places from the through hole part 27 to the lower side and curing it in a state in which the adhesive reaches the surface 12 of the optical mount 1.
