PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface acoustic wave device which is resistive to a thermal impact test for mounting it to a vehicle. SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave device is formed by locating two surface acoustic wave resonators on the principal surface of a piezoelectric substrate, providing a plurality of pad electrodes among the surface acoustic wave resonators, connecting comb-type electrodes provided almost at the center with the pad electrodes, connecting lead electrodes extended along a circumferential edge on the piezoelectric substrate to the pad electrode from the comb-type electrode in the external side, and connecting in parallel the two surface acoustic wave resonators.
