PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently magnetize an antiferromagnetic layer constituting a magnetic domain control film and to facilitate turn of the magnetizing direction in a free layer with respect to a magnetic head, a thin film magnetic film and a magnetic recorder. SOLUTION: A bias magnetic field by the anti ferromagnetic layer 6 constituting the magnetic domain control film of a magnetic head in a structure that causes current to flow in the direction where at least vertical components are included in a magneto-resistive effect film surface, is set so as to be in the inverse direction to a current magnetic field that is generated at a magnetic recording medium end of a magneto-resistive effect film 1 by the sense current that detects a reproduced signal.
