PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor installation type elevator capable of being constituted without causing hindrance in floor landing operation and elevating operation of a car room and preventing intrusion of rain and wind by covering a clearance of a car door and a landing door when the car room arrives at a floor. SOLUTION: A flexible shielding member 14 made of hollow packing is provided around the car door 3a of the car room 3. A flexible shielding member 15 made of hollow packing is provided around the landing door 13a at a landing 13. When the car room 3 arrives at a floor, these shielding members 14, 15 come into contact mutually and cover the clearance between the car door 3a and the landing door 13a to prevent intrusion of rain and wind through the clearance.
