<p>A DVD disk case (10) includes a hook (40) connected to its base (12) or lid (14) and having an open position for clearing an outer disk (20) perimeter (22) during insertion and removal of the disk (20), and a closed position for blocking the removal of the disk (20). The hook (40) opens when the lid (14) is open, and the hook (40) closes for securing the disk (20) on a pedestal (26) hub structure (28) of the case (10) when the lid (14) is closed, to provide security by preventing removal of the disk (20) from the case (10) when the lid (14) is proximately closed. The hook (40) can project from the base (12), a lock projecting from the lid (14) to displace the hook (40) inwardly as the lid (14) is moved to its closed position. The hook (40) can also include an inwardly extending lid (14) tab (42) of the lid (14) and/or a projecting rib (46) of a spine portion (16) of the case (10).</p> |
