MOTION DETECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detecting apparatus for detecting a motion over a wide range while suppressing power consumption.

SOLUTION: The motion detecting apparatus comprising: an imaging circuit; a frame memory for storing an image imaged by the imaging circuit; a motion amount detection circuit for detecting an amount of the motion of the imaging circuit; a plurality of motion detection circuits with different characteristics; and a mode decision circuit for selecting a motion detection circuit depending on the motion amount, selects a motion detection circuit depending on the motion amount of the imaging circuit to detect the motion.
