PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating applicator which discharges a coating liquid as a droplet from a nozzle outlet by using an inkjet head and forming a stable coating film and patterning of the stable thin coating film to a material to be coated. SOLUTION: The coating applicator applies the coating liquid to the material to be coated by using the inkjet head which discharges the coating liquid in the form of liquid droplets from the nozzle outlet.
