<p>The present invention relates to a process for preparing a mixture of ergot flakes for ensuring structure and shape thereof for subsequent extraction of ergot alkaloids wherein the preparation process is characterized in that first input ergot is prepared, humidity thereof is optionally adjusted, subsequently mechanical impurities are separated from ergot and then the ergot can be optionally subjected to weight and size separation into individual fractions. Subsequently the ergot and/or the ergot individual fractions are subjected to the action of a total pressure within the range of 0.1 to 50 MPa, wherein the total pressure comprised two radial and tangential force components being perpendicular to each another and acting in mutual ratio within the range of 1:1 to 850:1, whereby the magnitude of the total pressure is selected in dependence on humidity, oiliness, fraction and kind of the input ergot.</p> |
