Pipe connection comprises a fitting (1) provided with a sealing element (3) in the insertion region and receiving a conduit (2) which is sealed and axially secured without a compression tool. The insertion end of the fitting widens away from a cylindrical section (10) receiving the conduit. The sealing element arranged in the wider section (8) is held radially under compression by a sleeve (6) having an inward-extending collar (7) and covering the inner side of the sealing element. On insertion of the conduit the collar comes into contact with the end side of the conduit. Insertion into the cylindrical section continues until the sleeve releases the sealing element and presses the sealing element by radial extension on to the outer surface of the conduit. Preferred Features: The sleeve is made of metal or plastic. The sealing element is an elastic sealing ring. |
