Method for optical transmission of digital signals

A method for optical transmission of digital signals modulated on to light-waves in the form of intensity modulation over a free-space transmission path (4). The transmission-side generated serial code sequences are distributed on the dependent channels parallel in the form of a serial-parallel conversion and in the receiver (5) the paralleling of the signals on the channels is made recessive by means of a demultiplexer (6), and by means of decision making, the receiving power level is formed as discrete values i.e. bits, and the bit-sequences are coded in a decoder (7).
