A pipe coupling comprises an opening in a first coupling member 1 designed to receive the end of a pipe with the insertion of a ring-shaped seal 4, where a wall 3 of the coupling member contains a series of slots 5 for receiving the same number of teeth 6 or projecting parts which are integral with the seal. This arrangement retains the seal in position without the need to form undercuts in the coupling member. The pipe coupling may be used in boiler unions. |
