The system has a casing (15) with an IDE type hard disk (10) linked to a computer or a server for backup of computer data under a control of a backup software. The casing is placed at an interior of a fire retardant enclosure (20). A heat-dissipating radiator (14) diffuses heat produced by the disk towards the casing through a conducting layer of thermal conductivity of an order of 8 watt per meter degrees Kelvin.
