PURPOSE: An escape ladder is provided to protect human life by evacuating safely from an unexpected disaster such as a fire, etc. by installing to a wall connected to a balcony or a window. CONSTITUTION: The escape ladder(1) contains: a main frame(100) installed on both sides of an upper bar(130) of a vertical frame(110) provided with a slide space; a primary ladder composed of vertical bars(310) installed to slide vertically in the slide space of the main frame(100) and provided with a slide space of a secondary ladder vertical bar(310), and horizontal bars(230) supported to both vertical bars(210) and formed at regular intervals; a secondary ladder provided with vertical bars(310) installed to slide vertically in the slide space of both vertical bars(210) of the primary ladder, horizontal bars supported to both vertical bars(310) and formed at regular intervals, and a support bar formed horizontally on the upper part; and a control unit composed of a spool installed on the upper part of the main frame(100) to take up a wire connected to the support bar of the secondary ladder, and a link device controlling the wire to be unwound and rewound to unfold and fold the primary ladder and the secondary ladder, so that the primary ladder and the secondary ladder are unfolded in order from the main frame(100) by the control unit.
