<p>The shed former for a Jacquard-type loom (M) has vertically reciprocating cutters (11, 11') operated by a single continuously-rotating unidirectional input shaft between two vertical plates (20, 21) that support oscillating shafts (50, 60) equipped with rocking levers (51-54, 62-64) linked kinematically to the cutters. The oscillating shafts, which are identical and positioned above the cutters, extend parallel to one another between the plates and are connected to the input shaft by a cam (71) and lever (72, 82) mechanism. The input shaft and oscillating shafts are supported by lubricated roller bearings mounted on the plates, and the input shaft is connected at each end to a drive motor.</p> |
