<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the decomposition treatment capacity of a pollutant component by sufficiently bringing the whole of a filter material into contact with air. SOLUTION: Rope like filter materials 6 are arranged so as to be suspended in the air and a sewage supply means is provided above the rope like filter materials and sewage is allowed to flow down along the rope like filter materials to be filtered. Further, in a washing method of a water sprinkling filter bed apparatus having the hanging member 5 having water passing holes 51 arranged in a hollow tank 1 in a liftable manner, the rope like filter materials suspended from the hanging member, a means supplying sewage to the upper parts of the rope like filter materials through the water passing holes and a jet means injecting air into the tank and constituted so as to allow sewage to flow down along the rope like filter materials, the hanging member is allowed to fall and air is injected into the tank by the jet means in such a state that the housing vol. of the rope like filter materials in the tank is reduced in order to reduce an amt. of washing waste water to stirr and wash the rope like filter materials.</p> |
