PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire for medical treatment, whose contracted tip part of a superfine stainless steel wire main body is fitted with a coil spring, capable of almost completely preventing risk of remaining in the blood vessel, which is caused by breaking of the tip part by load by drawing and twisting of the wire main body upon drawing off the blood vessel, and improving performance and safety. SOLUTION: Between a contracted part 4 of a wire main body 2 and a coilspring 5, clearance 6 is provided to install a safety wire 10 therein, which consists of twisted fine wires and forms a gently serpentine shape in the lengthwise direction. The front tip 9 of the safety wire 10 is fixed to the tip head 3 of the wire main body 2, and the back tip 11 of it is connected to a soldering part 12 located at a tapered position of the primary contracted part 4A. |
