The present invention relates to an aqueous phase paint product and, more specifically, to a process for its application. The process for the application of an aqueous phase paint product comprises the steps of i) preparing an aqueous neutral base containing white flocculi, ii) preparing at least one aqueous coloured base, iii) mixing the aqueous neutral base with the at least one aqueous coloured base to obtain an aqueous paint product, iv) applying by means of a brush the aqueous paint product to a surface to be decorated, and v) smoothing the painted surface.
