The temperature measuring device has a room temperature sensor (2) contained in a housing (1) of a remote-control device for the heating system, together with electronic components (3) which generate heat, mounted on a circuit board (4). The room temperature sensor is contained within a vertical shaft (5) in the remote-control device housing, extending between air flow openings (6,6') in the housing lower and upper walls, the electronic components positioned within the top part of the shaft at a maximum spacing from the room temperature sensor.
